Squad numbers 1, 2, 4 & 18 are currently unoccupied at ManUtd, it is likely that Phil Jones will get no.2 or no.4, while Ashley Young will wear the no.18 shirt, previously used by club legend Paul Scholes.
Yes am really happy about young putting is leg in our legendary paul scholes,we all no what he is capable of and i believe he will surely makes his make mark in united team

I actually think Young should have been giving number 17 and then Nani will have to bounce the number 7 jersey from Michael Owen and Owen could wear another free number
The number 6 and 22 are now free.I think Nasri will be given either the number 4 or 6,simply because Young,a forward will look weird i those jerseys.I think it will be number 4 for nasri,because 6 would resemble a certain xavi in midfield(perhaps no?).
So Phil Jones will likely get the no 6.De Gea no 1 xD.
As for the no 7, i think SAF, by giving it to Owen, meant to take off unnecessary comparisons to ronaldo on the newcomers(valencia,nani and now young).
Other possibilities imo include vidic getting no6 as he is the captain now,leaving number 15 free for any of the newcomers.
Now the number 2,,,which of rafael or fabio will get that,hmm.Number 20 or 21 might be free then.
