World Cup: Evra crashes out, but Park and Chicharito make it through…
June 23, 2010
It was a mixed night for United’s stars at the World Cup as two players made it to the round of 16, while one went out in rather embarrassing manner. Patrice Evra’s World Cup is over as his France team crashed out after losing 2-1 to hosts South Africa. Evra, who is the captain of his national team, was left out of the starting line-up after a series of events which started after a bust-up between Chelsea star Anelka and coach Domenech. The French team failed to win any of their three group matches, and went out bottom of the pool which only one point. This low point in his country’s football history has left Evra devastated.
