Pictures: Fergie, Giggs, Scholes, Van der Sar and Fletcher kick the ball for charity at Million Dollar Challenge
July 24, 2010
Fergie, Giggs, Scholes, Van der Sar & Fletcher took part in the Million Dollar Challenge, where they tried to hit a giant Hublot watch to raise money for UNICEF.
Van der Sar came the closest to hit the target (I wonder if that is a good thing or not?)
Fergie: We’ll come back next year, that’s exactly what ManUtd do!

To be honest, Fergie’s refreshing post-match comments took away some pain of not winning the title. Talking about losing the title, he was gracious as ever, and vowed to come back hard next time. The Gaffer is not a sore loser, and someone who knows how to bounce back, as a fan that’s all we need.
Fergie will not point fingers if United lose title!

The Gaffer has refused to make any of his players a scapegoat or blame the referees if United fail to win the title this year.
“I used to look at every game but you can torture yourself with that,” he told MUTV.
“We lost at Burnley at the start of the season. That was three points and we also missed a penalty. If we had scored that we might have won or at least got a draw that might have made a difference.
“We had a couple of refereeing decisions against Chelsea. You could look at all things.
“You can twist and torture yourself but it happens. We get breaks ourselves sometimes.”
One has to salute Fergie for his positive attitude. Most managers, and specially Arsene Wenger, have a bag full of excuses ready every time their team fails to achieve something. But the United manager believes looking back at missed chances such as Carrick’s penalty at Burnley or anything else for that matter is just a waste of time.
